2211' work with another IP WLAN?

The Nortel WLAN Handset 2210/2211 utilize SpectraLink Voice Priority (SVP) to provide quality of service as well as improved standby time. For a list of SVP-compatible WLAN Access Points, have a look at http://www.spectralink.com/products/pdfs/72-9000-00.pdf from the SpectraLink website.

The phones should work on any 802.11b network. Remember that if your wireless network is really busy you will need to be able to give the wireless phones some QOS. We use a seperate SSID for the wirless phones and are able to give them priority on the access points. This is done not for voice quality (which seems to be fine regardless) but so the battery will last longer.
Without priority the phone can't "sleep" and runs the battery down.

I have a question also related to the 2210-2211 handsets. Will they work with out the WLAN IP telephony manger 2245? I want to bring one in to test but can not justify the cost of the 2245 for one phone.

No. They require the 2245 to work.
