On our site we have a opt81C with two routes.
- Route 0 is FT route, used for all incoming calls and as outgoing backup route.
- Route 32 is Colt route, for all outgoing calls as first choice.

We use "0" as AC1. So I dial : 0 0130675555 (french tel. number)

My understanding is when you dial route ACOD, you don't need to dial AC1.
I actually can dial Route 32 ACOD followed by PSTN number :
59032 0130675555
But with Route 0, I have to dial "0" again after ACOD :
59000 0 0130675555

There is actually a DMI to add 0 to dialed number when going through Route 0.

But it's annoying with NCOS lists, since I have to allow "01" to dial through route 32 and "001" too for Route 0, but "001" is international calls with route 32 !!

I looked through RLB listing of both routes, but there is no significant difference.

What can cause Route 0 to need an additonnal "0" ?
Any hint will be useful.

Thanks for reading.

Turn Off This?

If on your regular outbound calls you are inserting yet anothre 0 then the network is expecting that leading 0. This leading 0 would need to be dialed in addition to the ACOD. So, correct dialing would be the ACOD + the PSTN. That 0 is part of the PSTN expected by the network.

In France, regular local phone number are 10 digits, no more. "00" is for international calls only.
FT (France Télécom) is the historical operator here. 99% of the country goes through their lines. In no other site I went in, connected to FT, I had to dial an additionnal "0", the same from "homes" lines.

I'll try to contact them. Thanks Rachelle.

IP expansion Cabinett

You was right, Rachelle. The additional "0" is to benefit from a tariff offer suscribed near 10 years ago. A technical evolution made this "0" no more needed with more recent offer, so I'd never met it with this setting.

Thanks again.
