How to INI an 81 C remotely

One of the hard drives on an option 81c has failed and has to be replaced. The part number of the current drive is NT4N43CA. I can get a new drive for cheaper than the old version but I don't know if they a compatible. The part number of the new one is NT4N43DA. Need to find out ASAP so I can order the part to be here tomorrow morning. TIA.

Normally if the part number is the same it is compatible, however, I do not know for sure. In this case, the only difference is the revision... I hope I never have to experience this. Good thing for dual cores.

You definetly want your IOUDC's/CMDU's to be the same version/Rls.

The difference of the two drives are the capacity. As I know if you system are running succession software 4.0 you can have mismatch harddrives in the same system. If your system are running on succession 3.0 ; 25.40 or 25.30 you must have the same harddrives within the same system.

This is very sad from a customer standpoint... moral of the story. If one hard drive dies order two...

Thanks for your help. I ended up going with the same one as I pulled out. $500 bucks more than a new one, now if only I could get someone to come out and help install it. Been a great week. Thanks again.
