BCM: Caller ID over VOIP Lines

New PRI on local routes tonight, all ok. Only when we test 911 is an issue. 911 says they are seeing the test number the carrier used. Were can I change so 911 sees all 10 digits from our main number?

Thanks. Thats what I told the carrier when I called back. He thought I was crazy when I told him. I asked him what number was sent when I called him and it was the number I called from.

The number the Carrier saw when you phoned could be (and probably is) markedly different than the number being sent out to the PSAP on 911.

Type and software for switch? ESA enabled? Passing true DID? All factors....

RE: Outdialing

Turn on D-Ch. monitoring and you will be able to prove exactly what you are sending on 911 calls to the carrier so that they make the required changes on thier end.

ESA Ld 24
Are you sending out the proper DID number per phone on all other calls, or do you get the same number the PSAP sees?
Can you look up the number the PSAP is seeing in your switch? If you deleted it (if its there) what do they see now?
CLID tables (Ld 21) check those to see if that's where the offending number is comming from as well (a possibity)....dependant on the state laws, you may want to assign the Main number to the most oft used CLID enter in your system (most often 0...so your numbers look like XXXX 0 when you print a TNB)
