| Folks, This is just a note to let people know that certain topics will not be permitted on this site. These topics include but are not limited to the following: - Hacking/Cracking of any kind - Default passwords - Password recovery beyond contacting Nortel ETAS - PDT and THOR - Details of any exploitable weeknesses on Nortel products - Security issues beyond their correction - SPAMMIING and advertisements Additonaly, we expect that people here are professionals and so profanity and offensive material will not be tolerated. The reasons for these restrictions are simple. This site is designed to help owners/customers/maintainers to keep PBXes running and behaving well. Certain information is Nortel proprietary and other information can also be used detrimentally either by intent or by mistake. We do not want to help those who intend mischief and we also do not want to help inexperienced people to get themselves into areas where there are no safeguards. Additionally, we do not wish any ill will from Nortel. That is why these topics will be either censored or deleted by our moderators depending on the context. Please respect these guidelines. | Bravo SD, This is very well put. I think that this info should be more readily available to ALL visitors. I'm not an M1 guy, so I wouldn't have seen it if Twisted hadn't posted a reply. Most of it is common sense (or should be). I really like your comment regarding the "inexperienced people". I am all for helping someone out. But, when it is obvious (by the WAY the question is asked) that the person has NO experience, you can be doing them a disservice by leading them into a SIMPLE change. If they don't have any experience, they probably don't understand how one parameter may impact another. If a poster gets a reply that suggests they find a vendor to help them, it's NOT because the replying party is a jerk (most of the time just my 2 cents | ||||||||
