Without going into too much details, the operator setup here is really weird and results in the calls to the "operator" being forwarded to a seperate extension which is then forwarded to a DN that rings at two seperate locations. Due to the setup of the MARPed TN, this line does not roll over to its backup extension or a voice mail message and so, if no one answeres the call, the customer gets a message saying that the session cannot be completed and they are hung up on.

What I would like to do is get some information on how to set up a menu so that, if the person getting forwarded to the operator does not get a live human being (I will have to set up a seperate phone for this, I imagine...), they will instead get a menu where they could press a number on their phone to get transfered to a representative from a particular department.

Is this possible?

Upon further inspection I have discovered that a simple menu does exist (although it is way out of date) and attached to the voice mail of the switchboard - which no one knows how to use.

I need to know how to do two things:

1) How do I edit the night mode of a M2250 to change the DN that it is being forwarded to?

2) Where do I find and how do I edit a "Dial By Name" directory within Meridian Mail?
