System is option 81 c.. I m trying to restricts extension not to dial executive (5 exts), Ext nos r 2251,2198,3421,3100. if i try to setup pretranslation(xlst) then it will block series of 2 or 3. Also these threee executive exts must dial each other. How do i restrict others ext not to dial these extension only and could dial other ext like 2252 or 3110.
any help???

why not bar them in the ncos table? set all these extensions to deny, and move all those who need to phone executives to another ncos level?

Can't use NCOS as the call never hits NARS/BARS.

Could you make them a seperate tenant?

look up multi-tenant services in your features guide. Requires several packages. You can do a lot of things with this package. I do not have ito n our switch

change the ext's to a 5xxx or something thaen xlst everyone else.
if they have did's IDC the 2xxx and 3xxx to the new 5xxx

why do the exec's have phones

In my experience, execs tend to use phones to book lunches / golf trips / deliveries of wine etc. I am surprised they have not suggested removing the phones from everyone else, and using them only as an executive perk!

Make sure the execs have 3900 series phone, and that their call log is working.

Put out a memo to all personnel: DO NOT CALL THESE NUMBERS OR YOU WILL BE FIRED! 2251,2198,3421,3100

Surely, most of the workers will not be calling, so checking the 3900 at the end of the week should be fine. If any inside callers are on the log, fire those individuals.

Caveat: Now you'll have to get the phone police into action to make sure Worker A does not use Worker B's telephone.

What next? A new building just for the execs?
