Web Client

I can set the IP address but when I telnet to the card it just keep scrolling with these two lines.

---
JAN 08 11:04:24 tSyslogd: Error *** Dumping 8192 queued syslog messages ***
JAN 08 11:04:24 tITGStart: Error Attempted to start server connection before it is configured.
----

These two line scroll about two a second so the screen is contantly filling with data. I can get it to stop if I press enter one of the lines scrolling by is ITG Login: so I can still enter commands. after logging in I send logPrintOff and the scrolling stops, but I can transmit to the card. I get "the card is busy..." error.

Any Ideas?

LESSON FROM GRANDPA.....

Same story,
Which release switch ? ITG-Line or Trunk on which release ?
Patches loaded ? What's the info on the hex led on the front ?

If your card is not disabled, disable it in ld 32.
If you still can't configure it start from scratch.

This scenario when its your first ITG-line card.
Asuming that you have done the switch settings.
Connect to the card on the serial interface.
login, and give the commands,
NVRClear Clears IP parameters in NVRAM
clearLeader Clear the leader info in NVRAM, set the boot method to
use bootp, and remove the old config files
Reboot the card and when its reboots and you see this,
Enter +++ to escape to Shell for manual configuration
give +++ , login again and set your settings
setLeader " xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx","yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy","zzz.zzz.zzz.zz z"
x your ip-adres for the card E-lan
y your gateway on the E-lan
z your subnetmask on the E-lan

Reboot the card again and wait til its finished booting and the HEX-led gives L000. The card should be still disabled in ld 32.
Now you can configure it with OTM.
If configuration with OTM has be done, reboot the card again.
If finished booting then enable the card in ld 32.
The ports should register to the call-server.
Now you can start with your sets.
Good luck !
Pennyman.
