Telecorp Products

We have a Meridian PBX connected to a Cisco voice Gateway via PRI.

Calls fom the PBX will not pass that are 10xx extensions.

10xx extensions can call the PBX extensions

11xx can be called from the PBX

While watching the D channel it apears that the digits are being stripped.
Blank at the called number on 10xx calls.

Calls can be placed to another remote system,, out another PRI , that are 10xx extensions.

We have looked at CDP, RLI etc, etc..... Everything is set correctly.

Wierd> If you dial the ACOD code ,,, ithen 101010101070 it will complete the call to the Cisco Call manager extension 1070.

Settings that are different on the PRI config when comparing the working PRI and the one that will not complete a 10xx call.
ARE:
PRI with problem PRI that works
IFC > ESS 5 IFC > SL1
SIDE > USR SIDE > NET

Thanks...

If calls dialing other extension numbers can complete it seems strange that this would be a PRI configuration issue. It sounds like a NARS/BARS or RLI issue. If you can dial the access code and then dial the correct digits it sounds to me like the trunks are fine.

Couple of questions:

1) It really sounds like the meridian is stripping the dialed digits. Could you have a different DMI set for 10xx than for 11xx? If you are using CDP then make sure that DMI is the same?

2) If the d-channel monitoring on your Meridian does not show any dialed digits than I have to believe that the Meridian is stripping that info somewhere. Don't know enough about your config. Can you post your associated CDP info, RLI's, DMI's and routes if you are still having problems.

Thanks,

bigbadbillyc

We have had issues with 10 on our Cisco Call Manager as well. Our 10 is actually an access code to another company that we work with. What happens is if I have a set forwarding to the cisco set and the cisco set forwards to that same phone instead of giving a busy signal it will dial a 1000 plus the number that was dialed. This number routes to the other company because it dials the access code of 10 then adds 00 plus the number that was dialed. This is because of programming in the router. We were told that if the dialing plan gets moved from the router to the Cisco Call Manager it would fix the problem.

Cisco tells me that there are no tables within the router,,, but in Call Manager :

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cisco TAC says that the number is being stripped.
This is what is seen at the voice gateway:
98. Channel ID i = 0xE9808397
99. Exclusive, Interface 0, Channel 23
100. Calling Party Number i = 0xA2, '7166652303'
101. Plan:Unknown, Type:National
102. Called Party Number i = 0xA2
103. Plan:Unknown, Type:National
104. Transit Net Select i = 0xA1, '74'
105. Apr 28 20:39:36.059: ISDN Se0/0:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8 callref = 0x17
106. Cause i = 0x8192 - No user responding

GOOD CALL:

re:

The plot thickens......I think? It sounds like Cisco is confirming that they are not seeing the dialed digits from the Meridian. Can you turn d-channel monitoring on in Ld 96 (enl msgi dch x and enl msgo dch x)? Where x is the dchannel #.? That way you can see what the Meridian is sending out to the Cisco Gateway.

As for tables in the gateway you can configure them in the Call Manager, or in the gateway (Six of one half dozen of another.) There are arguments for and against doing it both ways. (It really depends what you and your support org are comfortable with.) But, it sounds like the gateway is not receiving the info from the Meridian.

Now I can see he RLI and DMI entries and that is good, but I am still hoping you can post the CDP entries that 11xx and 10xx should be using. That should let me know which RLI and DMI I should be looking at.

Thanks,
