10 Digit Dialing

Need some input on Call Pilot. i've seen all the gee whiz thats great CP 2.0 presentations that show the web based administration and all, but am having trouble deciphering what administering a remote system will actually be like. So my questions are:

Can you adminiseter everything you need to via the Web interface?
Can you perform maintenance procedres from the web interface?
Are there any special considerations to me made for remote access?
Is PC Anywhere required for remote access?
Should it be a concern to deploy Call Pilots at locations that are 100's of miles away?
What do I need to be concerned with?

Thanks for the help!

mini carrier remote

you can do most administration through the web int except menues which take a app builder client which can still be used remotly. what maintence are you talking about. for remote access you will need a static ip address for the clan connection or you can dial in through the modem. basically you will extablish a dial-up-netwprking session to the server if you want admin you will launch your browser if you want server maint you will launch pc anywhere which wil put you right on the server. i would just test the connections to everything before you let the instaling tech leave th sight because there are several things that have to be set p right to make all the dial in features work right but if you have it right you can do almost every thing you can do on site off site except put tapes and cd's in the drives.

FNA question

Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that the app builder was going to be web based as well. Too bad you need PC anywhere. Nortel and other manufacturers should provide more flexibility in remote access options (like PC Duo or NetOp). PC anywhere is a big no no within our organization.

As far as maintenance items, I was talking about backups, session trace, and other troubleshooting tools the CP may have.
