Every summer we have to reset the password, clean out the messages, remove the greetings and personal verification from all the Student Voice Mail boxes. Most of the time we just delete and recreate each Mailbox. This takes alot of time. We are a college with a cuople thousand students. We are use Meridian Mail but hope to the getting CallPilot soon. Does anyone know of a faster way to do this?

There is a Meridian Mail option called AutoAdmin that we use to do this.
I think it's a feature you have to purchase. It will show up in the system record in tools if you have it.
Requires configuring an ICLlink that provides a serial connection to a PC.
The PC runs the AutoAdmin Windows application and allows you to add, delete and modify mailboxes based on a comma-delimited file that you can create in excel or from a database.
Kind of clunky to setup, like a lot of Nortel windows apps, but works nicely once it's going. You can read about it in the Meridian Mail Administration manual Book 2.
You could probably still buy a keycode upgrade to add the feature but I have no idea how much it costs.

It would also be possible to write a script in Reflection or Procomm that could out and add mailboxes from a file.

CallPilot has an auto-add feature that is not quite as flexible. I don't think it will delete or modify mailboxes. Hopefully that come on a future release.

We don't have AutoAdmin. Does anyone have a script in Reflection, Procomm or any other terminal program that could out and add mailboxes from a file. Or does anyone have any other suggests?

WRITING A SCRIPT MAY BE A LITTLE DEFFICULT SINCE EVERYTHING IS DONE FROM THE F-KEYS AND NOT A COMMAND LINE, WITHOUT HOSPITALITY SOFTWARE YOUR PRETTY MUCH OUT OF LUCK

I could write one for Reflection but it would take probably a full day to make a good solid script with a log, status line, error handling and documentation.
And I just don't have time right now.

You will probably be replacing Meridian Mail with CallPilot (or something else in the next couple of years.
CallPilot 4.0 appears to have an Auto-add and Auto-delete capability which will do just what you want.

I just thought of another possible answer to your problem.
There is a feature called Meridian Mail Voice Mailbox Administration - see the Features Guide Book 3.
It allows you to add or delete voice mailboxes when you add or delete TNs in LD 10 or 11.
There are some requirements and limitations but it might work for you.
I've never used it so I can't say how well it works. Maybe someone else out there on this forum has used this and can share their thoughts
