Is there any difference between the programming for tty 7 and tty 9 ?
which users USR MTC SCH BUG ?

LD 22
PRT
ADAN TTY

Or maybe line-editor is on, command LON at the prompt,
use LOF line-editer off at the promt to set it off.

What happens on your terminal when you are logged out? Do you get the OVL111 then 'Chicken Lips >' or the .[Flashing Cursor]?

Firmware

You are getting the .(dot) prompt on tty 7 because it is a background terminal (BGD).
There are commands you can enter on a background terminal, depending on how it's setup, like setting and querying wakeups, room status, COS etc.
The dot is the prompt for the background terminal.
If you aren't familiar with background commands there is a Background Terminal user guide in the MERL.
Can be difficult to figure out from the book so feel free to post questions.

Steamer - Thanks a ton.

I think that's the issue. Man, I read through NTP after NTP today and could not find that info. And I had no idea what I was looking for.

Ya gotta love this site.

Thanks,
