We currently have two DTI's total of 48 b channels coming from our Telco and going into our Cisco 2620 Modem pool. The college wants to save money and run two DTI's from the meridian to the Cisco 2620.

This is how we are trying to accomplish:
Dialup caller will come in on our DID PRI
We want to take them from the DID PRI (Telco to meridian) and send them off through DTI's to the Cisco 2620.

Both the Cisco and the Meridian were setup for EAM and B8S, however, we are getting red alarm on both the meridian and the Cisco 2620.

Does any one have any sugguestings... am I barking up the wrong tree trying to create my own DTI's from the Meridian to the modem pool?

Switch is an Option 81 running rls 25.4b.

Re: Call Pilot App Builder 3.0 access error

The RED alarm on both ends almost sounds like a transmit / recieve reversal somewhere in the links... keeping in mind that a loopback plug won't show a T/R reversal since it doesn't care which end is which.

How far are you distance wise? What is the transport?

I can't speak to the functionality of what you're trying to set up but you should least get the T-1 carrier between the units clear.

I'm with slagburn. Red alarm is always no carrier. The M1 is not receiving the Cisco transmit and vice versa.

You said you are set up as EAM and B8S. Did you mean ESF B8S for your DLOP setup in the configuration CEQU?

You're not wasting your time, I have customers that do exactly what you're trying to do.

build a two T1's w/ D100 interface in a Route with a DID ACDN night call forward to the ACOD followed by the DID.

for example NCFW 767(ACOD) 5255 (DID)
NCFW 7275255

Works every time

Thanks guys I have the method of transfering the calls down. I just need to establish the link.

The ESF B8S is the configuration in CEQU.
I am currently setting up the route and trunks as TIE as I believe this is the best method as I am connecting two systems and not to a CO.

The trunks are being configured as type TIE, SIGL EAM STRO WNK.
I am wondering if this is just a cabling problem. With our test the modem pool was right next to the switch. We are using a DB15 to RJ45 able which was previously connected between our pri card a demark from the Telco. Do I need use a crossover cable now that I am connected between two devices?

Thanks for all your insight.

Come on lighten up...

Yes you always use a crossover going directly to another switch (cisco router) unless you go through a csu first

Thanks. We will try again today.

Does anyone have any insight about what type of route to use? We are currently looking at using TIE.

Configure as tie between any two PBX's or a PBX and router. It's way the easiest.

We got this working on Wed. The TIE configuration worked. The problem was actually a bad DB15 to RJ45 connector. I had everything right to begin with.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
