BCM200 Voicemail Issue

Hi,

Whenever a Supervisor is doing an Observe on an agent, if the agent
tries to do a conference or a transfert, the system doesnt recognize
the number he dials.... so the Supervisor needs to stop the observe
and then the agent is able to dial.

What could be causing this?

sounds very very much like a needed patch. There have historically been quite a lot of patches dealing with Observe. Will they ever get this feature to work properly ?

I would ask your maint provider to check with Nortel if patch is available for this issue.

Meridian Option 11 ghost calling extensions

Any idea what could be the patch?

Our distributor never heard about a patch for that type of issue.

PENNIES WORTH

It may be an issue that merits a new patch to be written. It should be ran by Nortel if your next level of support cannot solve it. This "buggy" type issue doesn't sound like it can be resolved by anything simple.

Can it be duplicated at any time ? If so, my money's on a patch to resolve it. I see a patch written for rls 24 that deals with Observe and transfers but it is more for the Observe, not prohibiting of a transfer or conference. I'll keep looking and please post the resolution.
