We just upgraded from 25.30 to 25.40 on an 11c. I mentioned to the install tech that I would start flash updating my 3900 sets, and he said not to because of the call register issue. I thought that issue was fiixed already with patches? If so, what patch should I be looking for on the system, or pushing my vendor to install?

What is he talking about?

Anybody heard anything like this?

I wouldn't be doing flash downloads in middle of the day but I'm not aware of any problems with this.

Anybody else?

Jack

Can't dial specific number

No problems doing it on our 61c or 81c.

25.40 call register issue

I thought there had been a posted issue regarding 25.40 systems gradually running out of call registers as flash downloads are performed, getting to the point where an INI was required to free them up.

Maybe I'm thinking of the issue regarding Call Forward Activation/Decativation that Fletch has posted about.

Or maybe the technician that installed the upgrade is full of s**t. (At this time I won't go into the disaster with our Call Pilot upgrade...maybe someother time).

25.40 call register issue

Although I haven't upgraded yet from 25.30 to 25.40, I have been following it pretty closly and have not encountered anyone having problems with call registers.

What in the world would a flash download have to do with call registers??? Yes there was an issue with cfwd and call registers being deleted, but have never had a prob with that either. Have done a flash download to a single set during the day to clear intermittant, unknown, and unverifiable prob, but not to many sets. Save that for after hours. Besides, you get to charge OT for the time!!!!!!!!! Op11's also

Two alerts on M3900 sets have been distributed in the last year:
- loss of call registers when Call forward is activated/deactivated on an M3900 Phase 3 set. Applicable to X11 25.40 and resolved by patch MPLR16508. Also fixed in X11 25.40B.
- possible data corruption when doing service change on M3900 sets. Applicable to X11 25.40 and X11 25.40B and resolved by patch MPLR16603. This patch is included in the latest MDCS disk for 25.40B and is included on 25.40B Option 11C systems as a Manufactured PEP.
