Neat Meridian PBX...

We are getting a rightfax server for our company and I am supposed to create a T-1 out of my Option 81C to route DID's through to hit this box. Does anyone have a printout of the loop config, RDB config and trunk config. The company installing the rightfax seems pretty lame! I asked them for there requirements to integrate with Nortel and the only thing they had was B8ZS. That leaves a lot too the imagination and let the finger pointing begin.

trap line

THERE REALLY IS NO STANDARD, YOU JUST HAVE TO BOTH AGREE ON THE FORMAT, LINE CODE AND NUMBER OF DIGITS SENT. BUT YOU ARE CORRECT THERE WILL BE FINGER POINTING TRUST ME.
YOU NOW HAVE FAX PEOPLE THAT TRIED TO PUT THE BLAME ON YOU BECAUSE THERE FAXES WOULD DROP, TRYING TO TELL YOU HOW A T1 WORKS

Option 11

As PP stated as long as you both agree things should be straight forward.

Ask the vendor what kind of interface cards they are installing on WRONGFAX server. More than likely they will be Brooktrout but they are certainly not the only manufacturer out there.

Armed with that info. go to the manufacturer's web site and look for recommended settings.

Failing that start off with a plain vanilla config. and tweak during testing. Unfortuntatly there is not a one size fits all configuration here.

Post back w/ any ?'s

Jack

Meridian 11C-logging on, need help

Hey Jack, isn't there a switch setting on the Brooktrout card for the T-1? Can't remeber off the top of my head which one it was, need to go back to the manual, but I need to dig it out of 'file 13' since we discontinued to use 'Wrong Fax' :P
