When i try to enable remote notification in callpilot manager, i get the following error

The DN specified for 'Target Number' is restricted by an RPL.
Error code: 60646, 0, usertargetdn, 9

And, when I goto options on the handset and choose remote notification schedules from *8 and try to set the forward to number, I get the following error
"That number cannot be reached from this service"

How do I disable this error so that callpilot can dial external extensions ?

You need to set your Mailbox Class RPLs up correctly. For every mailbox you assign a given Mailbox Class RPL. Standard RPLs on the system are:

on switch RPL
local RPL
long distance 1 RPL
long distance 2 RPL

If one assigns the on switch RPL to a mailbox then the RPL will not permit you to set remote notification outside of the PBX. The on switch RPL does not permit you to dial 9 (assuming that 9 is your external dialing prefix) hence the error "restricted by an RPL" and "UserTargetDN, 9".

If you don't know how to tweak or set up RPLs then please read the manuals carefully before proceeding because if you open up an RPL too much (ex. set RPL to permit ALL 9 dialing) then you are prone to abuse and hacking.

Please note also that the NCOS restictions that you have assigned to the Call Pilot service trunks are whe ultimately control any outdialing permissions.
