60th anniversary

Hi,

Is there a way to script SCCS 4.0 skillset calls to forward to a cell phone during a certain time of day?

I could use a ROUTE CALL statement, but I've never sent the calls outside of the PBX before.

Thanks,

digital line card vintages

ROUTE CALL should work, but it sounds like they should get more people to answer the phones.

SCCS 4.0 Scripts to Cell phone

It's actually for when they are not logged into the skillsets during afterhours.

They want the calls to go to a cell phone so that callers will always reach a "live" body.

Its pretty amazing that some companies still actually think you should get a live body.
Everyone else puts us in Voice Mail Jail

That's true.

I had the call ring to voicemail and then page out via Meridian Mail once the caller left a voicemail message.

Is there anything I should watch for when using ROUTE CALL?

An easy one for you guys...

You will be establishing a trunk to trunk connection.
This could be restricted by your PBX programming.
If it does, post back.

Trunk to trunk connections can cause excessively long calls.
Monitor your t1's for "hung" channels. Cell switches do not provide
the best disconnect supervision.

If you use CDR, you will have a tough time
tracking the call, because "nothing" originated it, except for the trunk.

OK PEOPLE...LOOKY HERE!

You can use the CONTROLLED option with ROUTE CALL this way if the outgoing trunk route is conjested the call will come back to the script, and you could wait and send again

This would be your script...

IF OUT OF SERVICE (skillset) THEN
ROUTE CALL 9xxxxxxxx Controlled
END IF
