Location: Denver, CO Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Anyone know of any issues? I only have 2 sites on 4.0 (all other sites are on 3.0). None of the sites currently use signalling servers. All are Option 11Cs connected to other 11Cs via T1s. If a call comes in on a central office trunk (main line or night line), it can be transferred or conferenced within the called system with no problem. Attempts to transfer outside the system (using DSCs)will fail. The transfer process begins, and the caller hears music on hold as if they are being transferred, but when transfer is pressed for the second time, nothing happens. The call is still there, and can be retrieved, but the transfer won't complete. Attempts to conference outside the building (using DSCs) will fail. The conference will complete, and all parties will be on the line together, but if RLS is pressed, the caller is dropped from the conference. I've compared the trunks, routes, CDB, and CFN records to sites that work, and the configurations match. Verified TGAR and TARG settings, and even looked down to the phones, with no obvious explanations. Just wondered if 4.0 had something special in the way it redirects calls. Any assistance would be appreciated.

| Check your Net_Data block within the CDB in ld 21. What is EXTT set to ? Yes or No ? If No, (default), I believe when the pbx orginates a multi party conference and then drops off, the rest of the call is torn down. If EXTT is set to yes, and the pbx drops from the conference, the two external parties stay connected. Hope this helps. | ||||||||

Location: Denver, CO Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks for all of the pointers. Tried all of them, to no avail. Opened a ticket with our vendor. They've worked on it remotely for a couple of hours with no results, so they are going on-site Monday. Please keep the suggestions rolling...I'm grasping at straws at this point. Thanks again!

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | The only known problem I've delt with in both 4.0 and 3.0 is call log issues. Incomming external calls do not log on the 3900 series phones. I was recently working with the nortel design team on this problem, they fixed it in 3.0 with a patch but the problem still remains in 4.0. Sounds like there might be other issues??

| Inventory Eh, Is your PNI's in the relevant Routes (RDB's) and the PNI in the CDB's on the sites all set to 1 ? Are your relevant RDB's set with NCNA=Yes NCRD=YES ? All your networked D-Channels RCAP set to the lowest RLS that you have on your networked PBX's? skypilot | ||||||||
