In the volume menu on a 2616, what is the difference between the speaker volume (opt 3) and the handsfree volume (opt 5)?

My experience has been that speaker volume controls ringing. Handsfree controls the volume of voices on a handsfree call.

Country:
I think Option 3 is the actual speaker (you can hear dial tone on a set that isn't HF like a M2008 set) the handsfree refers to those sets that HF Option activated...

I agree with Chas2002 as option 3 controls the 'Monitoring' volume on the sets. The 2008's do not have HF (I think one revisiion did allow it though). The 2616 will use options 3 for the 'Monitoring' volume when CLS HFD (handsfree denied) is enter. This switches the handsfree speaker phone to a monitoring speaker.
