Location: Seattle, WA Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Moderators Forum? OK sportsfans.... how did I do this??? When I forward my phone to my cellphone (9-NPA-NXX-XXXX). When call my DID from another cellphone, the call forwards perfectly. I'm happy about that. When I forward my phone to 9 ONLY, it takes the 9 and lets me hit forward again and my display says CFWD. When I call my DID from my cellphone, it fast busys me.... like I got to the switch and the switch is preventing the transfer, not like regular telco busy tone. I'm happy about this too - means its set up like it should be. The problem is that I have a customer who CAN forward phones to 9 ONLY and they DO get dial tone when they call the DID. This is Baaaaad. I've looked at CFTA in the CDB and TGAR/TARG - looks the same as my switch. Could it be a release thing? ps... the new site looks great!

Location: Seattle, WA Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Call Forward No Answer - another scenario Exactly my point!!!! They set it up themselves and then are having us come in to tighten stuff up... but I'm stumped as to how I restrict 9 only yet still let them forward to cellphones?? Obviously it CAN be done as thats how my switch is programmed, but I can't figure out how I did it!! Hmmmm..... its only been a couple of years since I set it up and I've slept many times since then.... so no wonder I can't remember.

You may want to check what happens when the person call forwards to "9". On my switches this was allowed but it had no effect for off-site calls. Off-site callers got dead-air when calling the set and even when we tried to dial numbers the system simply gave redial. So even if the person can set the call forward to "9" or "91" that does not automatically mean that it is possible to commit tol fraud. Please note however that if I called the forwarded set from ON-SITE I *was* able to dial off-site, but I don't think that is an issue. __________________ Life is far too important to be taken seriously!

Location: Seattle, WA Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Rightfax Still no cigar. Oh believe me, we are fullly aware of the toll fruad issues. They want the forward to cellphones and such, but not the 9 only which IS possible, just not sure how. Things will be totally tighted up until we can figure out how to do one and not the other. Thanks for the great response - you guys are great!
