We have a mailbox that has remote notification on. When a message is left in the mailbox remote notifications dials a CDN, which is answered by any agent. We seem to have one or some people that get into this mailbox and for kicks are shutting of remote notification. My question is; can I block the person that gets into this mailbox from turning remote notification off?

RE:

If I recall correctly, there is a button to turn off access to the keypad interface within the class of service.

Assuming Call Pilot, here is the selection in the class of service (Mermail is listed as keypad interface on/off I think):

BINGO!!

This was checked in Mailbox Class Details:

Can Set Up RN Schedule by Phoneset:

I unchecked this box and now the option to turn off RN is gone.

Thank you very much.

You may have to create a new class for this group if others do use remote notification. Some P1$$ed clients may call you asking why they can't change their settings

Calamari anyone?

No worry if someone is a bit taken aback on this.
Heck, if it aint broke don’t fix it.

Or with the group that has this RN on the mailbox…

If it’s fixed then break it!

Not in the context of the voicemail but:

"If it won't move, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway"
