Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Monk's epiphany Does anyone have any experience with TIE lines over ATM rather than point to point T1? We currently have point to points set up from our headquarters for all remote sites and use CDP for dialing. When we switched to ATM the TIE lines worked and the access code for the TIE lines worked, but CDP did not. Possibly something to do with the router accepting only 4 digits. When dialing CDP the digits passed are actually the 4-digit access code + the 4-digit extension (8 digits). Anyway to strip the 4-digit access code when dialing through CDP??? Is that even possible? If this is confusing, I apologize, I am new to the ATM/Router world and not very familiar with CDP. UGGGGGGHHHHHH - Any input??? Thanks, Ravenlc :casstet:

Tie lines sounds like you are sending it into the carrier cloud were all digits need to be sent. That is easy enough to do with NARS /BARS programming

Location: Chicago -- CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE Rep Power: 10 ![]() | Internal calls not forwarding to voicemail Keep looking at the Cisco side & nmake sure that teh 4 digit ranges are defined in the router to be passed, sorry there is a better phrase but I can't remember it :P I had a test set up where M1 to 3160 (via ATM) to 3160 to EVIL Avaya, and until the routing tables where defined in the 3160's it was a NIGHTMARE!!! Good luck!!!!! Jack __________________ Dogs rollover Phones hunt

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | ACD - MQA (Multi Queue Assignment) Thanks Everyone! Turns out - that you are right JACK! After I pulled some documentation off the CISCO website - I learned that the router strips off the digits that are set up in a parameter called destination pattern - in our case the destination pattern is set to 12.. (.. being a wildcard). Welll, when I dial 1204 - the router is stripping the left justified digits 12 and only sending the last two 04. So my remote PBX is only seeing 04 and giving me a fast busy because it doesn't recognize it. WHEW!!!!! So now I turn it to the network guys to help me out. Just thought you all might be curious - Thanks for all of your replies...this board is very helpful!
