have the hold feature, as well as the ability to answer another call.
This would be for a M2xxx series phone. Does any vendor make such a beast?
I have already looked at Plantronics site, but could not find anything.
Maybe this should have been included on the wishlist.
Thanks
Brian

Sounds like you're asking for a cordless phone more than a cordless headset.

Are there any wired headset products that do what you want?

Wired or not I haven't been able to find one. What I have is a receptionist, that takes spurts of calls. She also has other job duties that sometimes takes her away from her desk. I thought if I could find a headset that would allow her to perform said duties, place calls on hold, etc. etc.
I have done a few searches on the net and haven't found anything.
Figured I 'd try here

My guess is that you'll never find one. Reason being that everthing you've mentioned is a function of the phone itself not the handset, the headset wireless or wired simply extends the handset.

Now you might be able to mix a single line wireless headset / phone with the 2xxx and get something to work... or find one of those discontinued cordless 2616s Or maybe there is such an thing but I can't figure out how it would work on a digital phone simply by extending the handset.

a cordless phone is what you need . I think it's astra that makes a cordless phone that emulates a 2616. the receptionist can carry the cordless or maybe clip it on. you can answer multiple calls transfer all the features.

I'm diggin' 'cause I KNOW I've seen one that CAN do what your looking for...
Comes with this Triangular shaped peice that the headset fits into, about the size of a very small mobile phone.....
It has a hook/flash button, mute, just about everything but a dial pad....
had a modual that hooked up to the phone (worked on 3000 series, anyway)....
Can't for the life of me remember who made it, as it was 3 years ago.....but I DO recall it weren't cheap

Thanks fro the responses guys. I was starting to get a little discouraged upon my initial searches. I will check the suggestioned items out, and find the dreaded pricing.
Thanks again
Brian
