I am going to change the ip address in the switch tonight.
Is there any particular steps to do this.

ld 117

prt elnk .......

new host ........

INI switch

anything else need to be done or any suggestions?

I think UPDATE DBS fits in somewhere between new host and INI-ing the switch.

Start in LD 137 and disable the Elnk
Stat ELNK
DIS ELNK

Then go into LD 117 and make a new host named something like NEWHOST

then you do CHANGE ELNK ACTIVTE to the new host name

THen save the database

Then go into overlay 137 again and enable the ELNK
ENL ELNK

IT is not allways nessesary to do a ini. Depends on the RLS:
