Rep Power: 6 ![]() | 24 port digital line card Good morning. I have a 2616 set that has voicemail for the primary DN. I also have a phantom dn that goes directly to voicemail. Is it possible to have the message waiting light light up on the 2616 set when a voicemail arrives? I thought that putting the phantom dn in the extension dn's list might do it, but it doesn't. Is this possible? If so, how would I do this? Also I have a 2616 set where the message waiting light is always on, even where there are no messages? I checked the programming, and everything seems normal. I think just replacing the phone will do the trick, but just checking. Thanks in advance for your help!

Rep Power: 11 ![]() | Avaya G3R Large monitoring question Angler, for question number 1, use XMWK or RMWK for the phantom tn If you are not familiar with this I can post some examples. Question number 2, place an MCK (message cancallation key) on your phone select that key dial users ext and hit key once more and the message light will go out. __________________

[/quote:f2f2835865] One more thing, for the message light that has no messages. make sure that if there are other appearences of that ext anywhere eles the MARP should be set to key 0 of that TN (that is if you are using MARP0 __________________

I thought that the xmwk required a dn appearnce on the phone with the xmwk key. Since the DN is already on a phantom you will be prohibited from placing the dn on the 2616. I guess a workaround would be build a real 500 set and hard forward it v/m. This will allow you to put the dn on the 2616 and to also define the XMWK key. Just my .02 worth. Jack, I suppose you are right, I don't see any restrictions about the Phantom, BUT as we know you can't put a phnatom DN on a set. Sooo...with that said (an depending on VM type) he could assign an 'alias' extension in the mailbox and assign that number to the phone. hmm.. just another way to make something simple more complicated  __________________

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Change Auto Attendant Greeting Thanks for the info. Luckily this is not a mandatory request! Sometimes as you say the Nortel Gods, baffle me! Oh well. Thanks again. BTW, adding the mwk button on my phone and cancelling the message light took care of my other problem. Thanks again.
