Hello all,

Had a little problem with my lab switch (single cabinet 11C 25.15)

Apparently there's some sort of corruption giving me some problems. The main problem is that I can't execute an EDD in LD 43. Here's the message I get when trying to do that:
Code:
>ld 43

Now at this point, it just hangs. It looks like the SL1 program has just stopped. I can, however, enter PDT and INI or SYSLOAD the system, so it's not completely dead. At that point, I get some nice information in the sysload messages which I will post here:

I think the issue has something to do with the line that said: BUG6335 Could not mount device "0x1009d87e". Not to mention the one before that which said: BUG6358 zdrv: CRC check failed for partition: 0xa0000

To me it looks like it can't mount the backup flash drive and that's why it fails the EDD process.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this one without calling Nortel or replacing the SSC?

Thanks,
Arch

Perform a dummy upgrade and see where that gets you.

Forgot to mention, steps I've already tried:

1. Install from LD 143 Upgrade menu
2. Install from bootup control-I install menu from 25.15 to 25.15
3. Restore from PCMCIA card (still can't write to the backup flash drive)
4. Restore from CCBR database file (Every time I type XRT in LD 143 or use the Upgrade menu to try this, the PBX INIs on me.)
5. In the process of "UPGRADING" from 25.15 to 25.15 right now. (most likely won't help)

That's what I figured. I've got a new SSC on order, if that resolves the problem then great, if not, then I guess I'll need a new DB too.

If anyone else has any ideas, they'd be greatly appreciated. I was wondering if anyone knew how to reformat the secondary flash partition? (It looks like that's the one with the problems)

Thanks guys,
Arch

Do you mean the Z drive ?
Your vendor may be able to do this.
I have had this error before and I was told if the reboot did not fix do a dummy upgrade.
If that did not fix the problem replace the SSC and the DB.
In my case the reboot worked fine.
At that time the machine was on 25.30 and now it is 3.0.
Give the SSC a shot what do you have to loose you have a captive switch.

Have you tried to erase the Z drive.
No harm trying
Go into PDT and do

zdrvEraseAll

Then try the EDD

KARI! You ROCK!!

100% fully functional again.

Just out of curiosity, how does one learn about THAT command (or any others not listed in HELP)? I'd be interested as to what else I haven't been show.

Thanks again!
