Remote conference controller

We have 12 analog trunks on an Option 11C. When we conference people in from our office the connected parties always have trouble hearing each other.

I have been told this is the problem with analog trunks. If you want the problem to go away, purchase a PRI.

Is this true?

Supervisor Observe from analog set?

Do they just have problem in conference? or all your analog calls have low volume?
If you just have on conference, change the pad for conference loop.
Check the manual for the LOSS on Conference.

Avaya G3R Large monitoring question

Typically we have problems with normal calls been lower in volume than one would expect from a PRI.

The problem is noticable with loss when we conference in somebody, and the party at the other end complain they can hardly hear the conferenced in party at all.

i.e. I call a customer...I tell the customer to hold on while I conference in another external party (party#2)...when I connect all the calls together the external party(#2) is noticably softer (however this does not effect the sound quality of the original called party between myself and them).

Thanks.

You could complain to the phone company, I did and they fixed the 4 lines that had low volume.

I agree with Ace. Have the phone company check the lines and make sure the db loss is in an acceptable range.

Ace,

You'll get better results by starting a new thread rather than hijacking/piggybacking on an unrelated subject.

Read your Features and Services NTP and/or search the board and you'll find your answer.
