No.
Because you have to have the MAT scheduled to synchronise with the system you are using to update the info in MAT.

Procomm is merely a Terminal Emulation program. No phone smarts. No CDR processing. Nothing telephony-wise. Having said that, there are many Procomm scripts written by telecom folks that will progam and do wonderful things on your PBX. Procom is the terminal emulator of choice by most telecom professionals.

OTM is the latest version of MAT. OTM is a Nortel Telephony Management software. It programs PBXes and does CDR and traffic analysis and much more. OTM is the result of MDR (MAT) melding with Switchview (Intellicontrol) to create the offspirng known as ******.

MAT has one REALLY annoying problem regarding synchronisation. If you outed a phone and disable the TN via a terminal but not in MAT and then you assigned that TN to anther phone and person then you would never see that update in MAT. Why? Because MAT could not reconcile the existance of a TN entry in it's station database with a new entry from the switch. It seemed that the LD95 and LD10/11 software modules for MAT were written by two different people who never talked to each other.

I am told that this problem is corrected in OTM. Deos that help?

Read the help files in MAT. You can set MAT to run updates at night which is what most people do. If you feel unsure using MAT software I would recommend getting the one or two day course offered from several different training companies. Of course, no one is training on MAT now. IT is all OTM.
