I am planning on re-documenting all (ALL) the wires that leave the switch room. This has not been done fully since 2002.
There are a lot of buildings with lots of blocks.
My big question is:
Is there such a thing as a Nortel compatible buttset that would allow me to dial on a digital pair.
I am planning on calling a number that I have an enhanced trace on to document the DN and TN I am calling from. Currently I am planning on bring my analog butset and a big bulky digital phone.

NO THER IS NOT, MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO GET A 2006 OR 2008 AND A ADAPTER FOR WHICHEVER TYPE OF MDF AND IDF YOU HAVE. REMOVE THE JUMPER CONNECT THE PHONE AND DIAL AWAY, EVEN IF THERE WAS SUCH A THING AS A DIGITAL TEST SET YOU WOULD STILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE JUMPER TO THE PHONE TO ID THE TN

Yes, 66, block. I would be removing the bridge clips during the testing.

We probably wouldn't be able to justify the cost to our higher ups even if such a device existed.

Go with what PP advised.
