Has anyone ever seen an implementation of a redundant elan ? Is it possible ? And how generally would it be configured ?

Thanks,

I understand that part, but what is being talked about at one site is the implementation of a second elan hub that I guess would be connected to the customer lan over alternate segments out of different customer LAN switches for further reliability and to attempt to eliminate one more single point of failure.

Same picture just add a second hub/switch. Make sure the elan is on an isolated segment of your network.
