Chas..setting up LDN?????????????

Hi all, I have yet another weird problem with meridian mail. We changed an account to reflect a new user having the # 5775 assigned to him as the previous owner left the company. When he records his greeting it still plays the previous owners message. I've deleted and then recreated the mailbox without any luck. Any help here would be good as our vendor suggested recreating the mailbox :<

thanks

Are you sure that you have completed deleted the VMB and restored it... hopefully you do not have any kind of corruption going on.

Have you checked to see if the number appears in another mailbox somewhere as an extension? System should not have let anyone put it in two places at once but.....

Corruption, I hope not too.

Somone once told me that it was a dangerous thing to just change names on mailboxes and that one should remove the mailbox completly and put it back in when someone takes over a position or changes names. This does two things, one stop the potential corruption that was suggested and also gives a clean slate to the new user (no internal/external/special greetings and personal verifications hanging around.)

vsdn will pick up before a mailbox. Make sure you don't have a vsdn for that number pointing to an announcement.

Re: RE:

Have the new user check the external greeting (8-2-1), internal greeting (8-2-2) and also Personal Verification (8-2-9).

There was an entry in the VSDN table in mermail. Funny though the name on the entry corresponded to a user who left the company over 5 years ago. Nice of the contractor here previous to keep things up to date. Once again thanks for the quick repsonse and invaluable help. I am learning slowly.
