The tech that performed my upgrade from 25.40 to 3.0 said the 11C can now be made redant. Anyone heard this? Anyone doing it?
Thanks.

You can make an Option 11 with a "survivable cabinet". One that stays up, in the event your primary goes down.

Correct. However be sure to provision trunking in each cabinet so that the phones there will have a trunk to call out on in survivable mode, and if you have a DTI/PRI installed in the second, third, etc. cabinets, each cabinet needs it's own clock controller provisioned on a loop residing there.

strange mer mail problem

Fletch,
Does this work the same as ESA mode on a Mini-Carrier Remote? Does the cabinet remap DN's when it goes into survice mode like the MCR?

No. Think of it as each cabinet can stand as it's own system. So if you loose cabinet 1, then those phones, and trunks are gone.
