I am in the process of restructuring our main menu. There are things programmed for the * and # buttons that I would like to change, but don't know how. Can anyone help with this? Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren’t those default settings?

On mine, the * is repeat but the # is the voice of a lady that used to work here and she gives directions to the campus. I just don't know how they did it. Thanks

Re: Canada: No Special Treatment For Anti-Bush Immigrants

Assuming mermail;

I would recomend starting at the beginning and tracing it all out. Check VSDN table to see where DN is pointed. Check out and services it points to (time of day controller, voice menu structure, etc..) and search from there.

I have had to do this many times when asked to look into mail problems on switches I had never seen before. At the end you have a nice flow chart for future reference.

My guess is that it points to a voice menu and the options are set for the * to RP and the # set to revert to an announcement service.

Raise a pint to SCHPK1 Meridian 1

Darby:
Does the * repeat any and all menu services regardless of the menu's overall function? In my system if I press the * the MS will repeat but, I repeat if I hit the # too. I have yet to find the proper menu within MerMail that will allow this to be configurable. I will keep looking. Please post if you find the answer in the meantime.

Darby, do you use Meridian Mail menu services, or CallPilot Application Builder?

Yes the * repeats, but somewhere the guru's before me found a way to play an announcement with the # key. I have no idea where, I keep looking and will let you know if I find it. Could be handy to have an extra key to assign something to at times!

I know the path to the menu, just can't seem to find anyway to be able to modify the # key. It has obviously been done to our system, however I have had absolutely no training so I'm trying to figure this out on my own. Not doing too bad except for this little trick.
