So, let me get this straight, the * and the # operate the same way regardless of the menu service? In all cases the * repeats and the # plays this message??

Darby, in Meridian Mail the # and * keys are standard function keys that provide the following functions:

# - Returns the caller to the previous menu. If the current voice menu is the first-level menu, the first-level menu choices are repeated.

* - When the caller presses *, the menu choices are played. If no menu choices are recorded, the greeting is played.

I don't believe you can re-configure the # and * in Meridian Mail like you can in CallPilot Application Builder.

I would suggest you dial into prompt maintenance (you can locate the access number for prompt maintenance in the VSDN table) and listen to all the recordings for the menu service you are working on. You will be prompted for the menu service ID which is the number of the application and the password, which is set in the menu service itself.

Once you access the menu through prompt maintenance, you will have an option to listen to the menu greeting (1) or the menu choices (2). It is possible that there are items recorded in both places. I have a feeling you will find the announcement with the former ladies voice on it somewhere there.

The Meridian Mail 12 Voice Services Application Guide will be the best reference for understanding all the options available for Voice Menus. Good luck.
