Question MD110, BC10 interconnect to Asterisk

I have a MD110, BC10 and want to connect it via TLU76/1 to an Asterisk server.
I found out that I need also a QSIG or ISDN-NET license to make this work.

My question is what ERICSSON part nbr I would need specifically.
For example the TLU76/1 is a ROF1375338/1 R8A.
What would be the part nbr for the required licence and what would be the part nbr for the cabling to connect to - let's say a Sangoma ISDN E1 card?

Any guide for the above scenario is welcome!

Hi devplan,

We have this configuration working in TSW you should only adjust some parametersin ROCAI and RODDI for it to work in BC10:

Hi el_rod

Thanks for the specs.

My ERICSSON reseller told me I would need a FAL104507 DSS1 Network Side (2B+D, 30B+D) license for this card.
Does this confirm with your data?

Also my reseller can't get me the license for BC10 anymore.
Do you know of a reseller where I can still purchase required licenses?

Hi devplan, i´m sure you can use any kind of ISDN link (QSIG, USR, NET, etc.) therefore the corresponding license, as long as Asterisk is configured with the same signaling. Regarding the license, i read about Ericsson still selling licenses for BC10 and BC11 but my resellers claim to not know about it, i think they try to force us to buy an upgrade. We came across a solution for this.

Question

Then I might be lucky as I have per the below 30 unused USR licenses:

Code:
LICENCE TAG                              ALLOWED    USED
ANALOGUE-EXTENSION                           240     239
DIGITAL-EXTENSION                            128     125
DISA-NUMBER                                    1       0
EXTERNAL-LINE-CAS-ANA                         24      15
EXTERNAL-LINE-ISDN-USR                       120      90
GROUP-SWITCH-LINK                              4       2
LICENSE-FILE                                   1       0
OM-ETH-INTERFACE                               1       0
OM-V24-INTERFACE                               2       2
OPERATOR-EXTENSION                             2       2
RVA-EXTERNAL                                   8       0
RVA-INTERNAL                                  12       0
SMDR-V24-INTERFACE                             1       1
TRAFFIC-MEASUREMENT                            1       0
Which type of signaling does "EXTERNAL-LINE-ISDN-USR" use and do I need to use a specific ISDN card on the Asterisk to match the required signaling?
(I would like to use a DIGIUM PRI card, TE122B on the *-side)

rgds, devplan

EXTERNAL-LINE-ISDN-USR uses SL60 it should need minor changes in ROCAI and RODAI parameters but i´m sure it will work against asterisk as long as asterisk side is configured correctly. Unfortunately i am not allowed to access our Asterisk box (Stupid company polices ) but i´m sure the configuration is easy as it didn´t take us long to make it work and the people working with * are not experienced in voice applications. Here is a sample config we use against a box wich runs an application similar to Asterisk, that box is configured simulating Public Trunk lines as opposed to the config i showed you later wich used QSIG Tie Lines:

ROCAP:ROU=99;
ROUTE CATEGORY DATA
ROU SEL TRM SERV NODG DIST DISL TRAF SIG BCAP
99 7110000000000010 5 2100000001 0 30 128 00151515 311110000030 001100

RODAP:ROU=99;
ROUTE DATA
ROU TYPE VARC VARI VARO FILTER
99 SL60 H'00000110 H'15400000 H'06410000 NO

RODDPEST=ALL;
EXTERNAL DESTINATION ROUTE DATA
DEST DRN ROU CHO CUST ADC TRC SRT NUMACK PRE
00 99 00050000000002500000000000 0 3 0

Hope it helps,

Regards,

Finally I got my DIGIUM TE122P into my asterisk box and had great help from DIGIUM to get my card configured which cleared my alarm on the MD110.

I setup route 9000 on the MD110 that should ring into my asterisk box, but when I dial 9000, I get "ROUTE BUSY" displayed on my DBC212.

Basically I want to route any calls arriving at my MD110 with 66xx over to my asterisk box. What am I missing?

HI devplan,

What is 66xx? What is the number series on the asterisk? How many digits should the asterisk receive? Are there any numbers need to be truncated?
I see a few number series, there is no 66xx.

Regards,

Sepay
