Hi Jee,

Here is what it means;
Status checking means supervision of circuit 108 in the V.24 interface and heartbeat check to information system (if applicable). An alarm is generated when circuit 108 is OFF. An alarm is also generated if there is no response to the heartbeat check.


Please check the interface between MD110 and the ICS computer. Either the Interface card of MD110 is defective or the interface on the computer is defective. Try replacing both or the cable itself.

What are the likely effect of this error on the ICS computer?

Assuming the ICS computer is avoicemail system. Can this error make the ICS computer (e.g Voicemail) system to misbehave e.g calls to common diversion number (or any of the voicemail ports) to be answered by the autoattendant?

Hi Jee,

If you are using the VM as an AA(autoattendant), you may encounter problems like, call diverted to VM would get AA prompt if heartbeat fails. Another problem you may encounter would be when A party calls B party and if B was set to divert to VM, instead of B party's prompt, A party would get the default prompt. Those are useally the problem in total heartbeat failure.

Hello Marty, an hour ago after sending you a thread, link between the two exp-intf is down for almost 10 minutes. I busied-out both cards and test long clear then released it. Link went up and again theres a communication between the two. Last print display errors shows as follows:
