Basics of MD110, how to connect and command reference.

Hi everyone,

I'll be brief. Recently I got a new job inside an IT company that would like me to configure and manage their PABX. We have one MD110 that has 100 extensions. Unfortunately a previous IT admin didn't left anything that could help me. Basically, information that I'm looking for is how to connect with MD110 by modem and what commands can I use to configure the extensions. The most common employee's requests are to change their display name on phone (Ericsson dialog 4222), add another extension and set International PIN no.
I have completely no idea with what to start. What modem do I need (will the one in any laptop be enough). What credentials I will be needing in order to connect and what commands can I use to process the requests.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Kind regards,
majson.

Hi Majson,

The commands are as follows;
change name - NIINIIR=xxxx,NAME1="sepay";
set pin - AUCOIIR=xxxx,AUTH=(pin),CAT=(category with IDD access)
adding extension - this would depend on what type
analog - EXTEI, there are many associations, like NANSI
digital - KSEXI, there are many associations, like NANSI
wireless - GESPI, there are many associations, like NANSI

To connect to a MD110, use either serial(rs232) connection or tcp/ip. For modem setting, it will be the same as the serial.

RS232 - 7 E 1

To log in, I'll PM the details, for security reasons.

Thanks,

Sepay

the following will help you find spare equipment positions.
SYEVP:TYPE=EL6;(for analogue ext's) or KL1 (for digital ext's)

this will help you to find spare extension numbers.

SUVIP:NUMTYP=EX;

If you need anything else just let me know
