Hi windchaser,

As far as i know, there is no bc13, maybe youre talking about the new mx-one. There are a lot of differences, mx-one is an ip switch that still uses tdm. Doesn't support sip yet, and ericsson is still in the process. Check there website, www.ericsson.com, search for the mx-one logo.

Regards,
Sepay

Hi Windchaser I understand that there is a BC 13 it is an upgrade to the BC12 and allows several IP cards to replace either analog or digital cards so you can start shifting to an IP system before you go to The MX one. I intend installing several cards in our system in the next month or so after upgrading to BC13.

Yes, there is a BC13 however it more commonly refered to as MX-One Telephony Switch (TSW)...
from my understanding IP boards are known as IPLU Boards..I am not sure if the ELU32 can be used.

For you info there is two versions of MX-One they are Telephony Switch(TSW) and Telephony Server(TSE).

TSW uses the tradistional hardware with some new boards ESU,LSUE, IPLU etc
TSE use all new hardware a SUSE Linux based server that Ericsson can supply but not always the case but as long as it meets the minimum requirements and has two NIC cards it will do there is also an Ericsson Media gateway which has Virtual boards for IP extensions and 4 Analogue extensions and 8 E1/T1 connections. For TSE a classic lim can be used as well to support function that the media gateway does not support eg:CAS, DPNSS Etc.
I hope this helps you......
