Cool Divert or abb dial with a pause and #

Hi Everyone,

New to the forum I'm trying to run some of our analogue phones off our Mitel 3300 voip voicemail system. When I divert the analogue phone to the Mitel it does not recognise the incoming number correctly. I've heard its possible to setup an abbreviated dial with something like the following but have'nt got it to work:

CDINIIR=7001,DIV=7699C#C7001;

7001 is the analogue phone
7699 is the Mitel voicemail
The "C" I've been told is meant to be a pause
and the "#" is a menu option on the Mitel

Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Brendan

hi bub,

You are trying to integrate your PABX with a mitel VM. You may need some cables, a free port on the IO board. Some programming on the PABX. Need info what version of MD110 are you using and what IO boards that are present.

Regards,
Sepay

? No need for cables mate. Just need to work out that divert so it sends a pause and the phone number to the Mitel VM. MD110 BC9.

Hi bub,

Well, as far as I know you cant do that. You would need a cable for the v.24 connection to your SIU or NIU. There you could program the port to send information to you mitel. I've tried what you have posted, and I believe this wouldn't work. The only way to send is to integrate it with a cable. This will pass all information to your mitel VM.

Sepay

The pbx is physically located in a different location from the 3300 so a cable wont do it. Surely its possible to do a divert or abb dial with commands?

Hi bub,

You could try this command:
ADCOI:ABB=xxxx,TRA=7100C#7600,CLAS=(Category Classification);
This means you could divert with this command using:
CDINIIR=7100,DIV=xxxx;
This would also means you must create a number per extension, you also must create a new number series using
ex.
NANSI:NUMTYP=EX,NUMSE=8000&&8999;
You would use this number series for abbreviated number, try it.

Sepay

I typed it wrong, it should be
ADCOI:ABB=xxxx,TRA=7699#C7100,CLAS=0&&3;

Hi bub,

I have tested it, and your right. It won't work, cause the system is not allowing other characters. I guess there is another way, sending all integration information in IP. Do you have an NIU on the MD side? Does you mitel support IP integration?

Sepay

What is a NIU? The Mitel is a VOIP system.

This is how we setup our voip extension on the MD:
NANSE:NUMTYP=EX,NUMSE=XXXX
Y
NANSI:NUMTYP=AC,NUMSE=XXXX
ADCOI:ABB=XXXX,TRA=600XXXX,CLASS=0&&3

A Mitel tech has suggested the Mitel is not recognising the incoming call as a call divert.
