  • Then at the “Which HostPort”? (1, 2) Choose “1”. This should take you into the PBX, if it does not please repeat steps 1-3.
  • Login into the PBX to access Voicemail. To do this, at the “>” prompt Type in “LOGI” the PBX will prompt you for the password, enter in “xxxx” (do not include the quotes). You should receive a Message stating “Logged IN with the time and date afterwards.
  • After Logging in proceed to the “>” prompt and enter: AX (This is to access the AuxiliaryPort) and should bring you to the Main Menu of Meridian Mail.
  • Press the "LogOn" *soft key to log into Meridian Mail, Then Enter the Password: xxxx
  • At the first menu choices select option 1 “User Administration”

To Reset a Password in Meridian Mail there are 2 items that should be looked at, one is the password, the other is if the mailbox is disabled.
  • Click on the soft key “View/Modify” and enter in the extension of the person whose password you are resetting, then hit “Enter”. Use the arrow keys and scroll down the options until you reach “Log on Status”. Ensure that this feature is turned to “Enable”.
  • To reset the password, click on the soft key “Change Password”. It will prompt you for the new password, enter in the new password and hit enter. It will then prompt you to retype the new password for confirmation. Do so then hit the *soft key “Save”.

That is it; you have successfully changed the password of a Meridian Mail user.

*Soft Key's:
For Dial Up users these are usually the F1-F5 Keys
