Hey Everybody,

I am dialed up into a PBX and want to start programming TN's. How can I identify the loop card and shelf (l s c) of the digital line cards. I am not on site so I can not check the physical labeling on the PBX.

Any ideas how I can figure out where they are?

Thanks,

how to identify DLC's

What are you trying to ID?

Unused TN's? LUVU

Type of cards? IDC

Not sure where you are going with your question.

Sorry, let me clarify. If I do a luvu nothing appears because there are no phones programmed, but I know there are plenty of DLC's.

Right now I am creating one phone on each card (trial and error) ie 56 0 0 0, then 56 0 1 0, then 56 0 2 0.

Once one phone is programmed on the card, the luvu then shows the rest of the units. Is there an easier way to make all of the unused TN's appear without programming one phone on each card?

I think a card inventory (LD 117) will show cards that are seated but have no stations programmed to them.

Don't confuse Incoming Digit Conversion with IDentify Card.

Jack - It only hurts the first time. :P
