Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi experts, Ive recently built a new pc for one of my users, and installed ip office phone manager version 3.0. For some reason, within his speed dials, it wont display when another users telephone is in use. Normally if a user is on the phone, that users icon has a little red cross next to it. Ive tried re-installing and deleteing the avaya profile in his my documents folder, and then re-installing with no luck. Ive tried logging onto another machine with his phone manager credentials and it works fine? The machine is on the same subnet and in all other senses is working perfectly. Phone manager is working fine, other than the above Any ideas what can be causing this/ what the soultion might be? cheers Paul

Either way, get it on the latest and preferably v3.1 or v3.2 as v3.0 was riddled with bugs. Secondly, in the title bar of Phone Manager (right at the very top) does it say Phone Manager Lite/Pro and the users' name? If not, then the user is not logged in properly. It's like you've pressed Escape at the logon screen but Phone Manager appears to still work as it still has the details of the system IP address and still communications with the phone somehow. Is it Win XP SP2? If so, is the Firewall off or at least have the exceptions entered for Phone Manager? Come back to me with the answers and we'll go from there. But I'd seriously suggest getting it off v3.0(xx) if at all possible. Are you an end-user or reseller? If reseller, which distributor do you buy from as there's one (maybe two) that are really good for tech support and several cowboys!
