Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi, I am Ed Thomas, a PC Tech, I have been performing day to day operations on Meridian 1 PBX since Mid 1999. I have been a basic administrator - new phones, moves etc. in a call center and in retail sales remote locations with smaller option 1's and Norstar / BCM systems, and now am tasked with training the rest of my department which has grown in the time I have been doing this. So I am interested in hearing how other people / admins have handled this for remote training. Thanks

Location: Chicago -- CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE Rep Power: 11 ![]() | Welcome!! Easiest way I've found is to have them trail you for a few days so they get a practical education. This coupled with some hadouts and a tutorial of how to use the NTP's is a great way to get started. They will also need training on basic cabling including tracing cables/jumpers, using a tone and probe and actually punching down jumpers. Of course they will need to feel comfortable enough to call you when they either forget something or are in over thier heads. Good luck!! Jack __________________ Dogs rollover Phones hunt
