Unhappy Hi guys another noob..:) and I have a huge problem with Alcatel OXO..

Hi I just started a new job as IT Support and I inherited an Alcatel OXO which is not setup yet and I have to set it up in near future and I have NO IDEA how to do it. I need some tutorial or something or else I am lost. I got documentation from some site and I am currently working with it and I am progressing... today I started some internal lines an analog and a digital one but I still can't exactly figure out what to do. What are the steps to configure that... I use Pm5 and connect and do stuff but I cannot determine what is base and how exactly do I assign internal to external calls and which port corresponds to which number.. Basically I read some info on isdn and telecomunications but I guess that I am missing something. HELP A tutorial or intro that could help me set it up easy and understant the basic principles. As I see in the numering plan I have to setup the different internal numbers as a sequence and in the public numbers I have to add those that are accessible from outside. For now I'd like to play alittle with the thing and I thought I might plug in a cable into the APA and the analog phone output from the MIX board. BUT I don't know exactly how is this supposed to work. I want to test if I can get outgoing calls...
So basically my problems are:
1. Can't determine plug - number
2. Digital phone only starts giving toot-toooot signal after I've pressed a button on it and it won't make a call..
3. Analog phone gives permanent signal tooooooooooooooo and will ring digital when call attendant or the number which I set to the digital phone somehow I guess...
... I can't even ask... I don't know where to start. Help.

Welcome.

Repost your question to the Alcatel forum to get your questions answered. Not everyone comes here.
