Hi! everybody

We have an interesting problem to share involving Ip phone system (INTERTEL) and IWATSU PABX System the story goes like this. We have a US based call center customer here in the philippines and they used INTERTEL ip phones and their main system was in the US, they just connect it almost 100 ip phones to the Philippines via T1 connection so the procedure is goes like this. A call coming from the USA receive by the INTERTEL Main System in the USA then route the call and then answer by an agent here in the philippines. And our IWATSU phone system was the back-up for the INTERTEL System with 45 direct lines installed, the procedure is this the moment the INTERTEL Link coming from the USA Goes down. all incoming call from the USA which the INTERTEL Main System was the one who receive the call will route the call to a telco in the USA then link this to the PHILIPPINES telco then receive by our IWATSU System. and the result is the moment an agent receive the call using the IWATSU Phone system they heared very low tone,heared very low voice quality. but the moment they make an outbound call to the USA using our IWATSU Phone System no problem occured as it is a normal call.

Anybody from the forum and INTERTEL Guru can answer my question below..

1.Is there a problem regarding the INTERTEL ip phone system and the TELCO in the USA?
2.Is there a problem the link between the TELCO in the USA and the TELCO in the Philippines?

But the problem is connecting 2 co lines together. There is always a loss of quality when you do that. I would just hope that you do not have to use your back up system very often.
