Hi all,

I'm left supporting an old intertel phone system, after our company has downsized considerably. Not exactly my dream task, but I'm dealing with it!

I have very limited documentation and am able to figure most things out based on experience with other phone systems (Lucent Definity, Merlin, Nortel Norstar, etc.).

But for some reason I can not figure out how to actually delete a station. I'm able to delete the voicemail box no problem.

As we've downsized, we've got phones ringing all over the place that are not valid; I'd like to leave the handsets there and take them off - with the possibility of reinstating later.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, we may have opportunity to hire a consultant to help with this system for an office move which is coming up in the next few months. Anyone in the SF Bay Area with experience, please contact me jeffc@consumerhi.com.

Thanks,
Jeff

What system do you have? Axxess or is it older? If it is Axxess, what is the software version?

nec systems

If you want to delete a station from the system do the following.

Go to Service
Double click on System Configuration
Highlite the card slot where the station is (single click on the card slot)
Go to Ports (on the right)
Highlite the port associated to the phone
On the right choose None

This will take the station out of all Hunt Groups, Station Groups etc. The station will also be completely dead. I hope this is what you want. If you still want the station to work, just repaet the following putting the station back. Taking the station out and then reinstalling wipes out all its programing.
