WTB:NORTEL+ALCATEL PABX spare parts

You're better off consulting with Inter-Tel directly. 1-800-669-5858

Here's a feature HIGHLIGHT list:
New CPC is a SINGLE CPU for 64, 128, 256, and in the future 512 systems
Software Upgradeable through port licensing for 64, 128, or 256 ports
Uses Motorola Cold Fire Processor - 3 times faster than the current 512 CPU
Increased system capacities and resources :
– 12 conference circuits (up to 3 four party conferences)
– 4 Caller ID receivers,
– 6 DTMF Receivers
– 4 DTMF transmitters
Internal Modem built in for easy programming and diagnostics
IP Enabled. Includes a 10/100 NIC for Programming, Remote Programming, OAI/CTI ports, VPU Data port.
On board Network Clock – Stratum 4
Inter-Tel Axxess Networking backwards compatible down to version 5.2F9
Inter-Tel Voice Processing Unit running Windows 2000 Professional
Unified Communicator release 2.0
SIP Server for SIP trunks and SIP IP appliance support
Point-to-Point audio between Inter-Tel, SIP, and MGCP IP devices (version 8.1)
Caller ID to single-line telephone extensions (version 8.1)
T.38 Fax over IP support (future 8.X release)
IP Resource Card increased density from 16 to 32 ports.

I know that 9.0 is planned, but I do not know if it is in BETA. Would you really want to BETA trial it?

There WAS an 8.X upgrade promotion that saved big bucks on the upgrade. It has since gone away. If you missed it, you'll spend alot more to get it now.

Actually 9.0 has been released to production as of this week!!
Here is a list of features:
The system software version 9.0 includes the following new software features:

· V9.0 IPRC: The v9.0 IPRC supports both IP devices and private networking. There is no new hardware for v9.0. Although the IPRC now supports both IP devices and networking, the physical components of the card have not changed for v9.0. When version 8.1.x or later IPRC firmware is used with a v9.0 or later Axxess system, the IPRC allows an Axxess system to share IP endpoint and IP networking capabilities on the same IPRC. This functionality allows for a cost reduction where one IPRC provides sufficient resources for both the IP endpoints and IP networking.

· New V9.0.0 Firmware: The new v9.0.0 IPRC firmware is now available. This firmware replaces the existing v8.2.0 firmware and supports a new network diagnostics log file introduced in v9.0 system software. For information about the new network diagnostics log file and other system diagnostics enhancements, see the 9.0 New Features document.

· Support for SIP Trunks: With v9.0, the system supports SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) trunks to reach the CO. SIP trunks allow the system to communicate with the CO via SIP-enabled gateways. As the SIP protocol becomes more and more popular, it is important to be able to communicate to SIP gateways in the IP-centric world. Inter-Tel currently supports AudioCodes™ MP-104 SIP gateway (with software version 4.2).

· Phantom Devices: Phantom devices are created for the user who is typically not physically in the office and who does not need an endpoint to retrieve calls or messages. Phantom devices have a mailbox and the ability to forward their station calls to their current location (such as to a cell phone, pager, or home phone). Phantoms cannot make and receive calls and cannot be programmed as system administrators.

· Barge-In: With version 9.0, the Barge-In feature adds new functionality to the existing Station Monitoring feature. When silent monitoring a call, the supervisor can now Barge-In (fc 386), Record (fc 385), Steal (fc 387), or Join and Record. See System Flags and System Timers and Limits for programming information.

· Single-Line Device Caller ID for IC Calls: In v9.0, the system supports caller identification (ID) for intercom (IC) calls on a single-line device. When a single-line device receives an incoming call, if the system has adequate caller ID resources, the single-line device will display the calling party’s username and IC extension. This feature is supported by single-line endpoints including telephones and fax machines connected to a Single Line Card (SLC) or SLC 16 in the US, or an SLC 16+ in the UK. The single-line device connected to the SLC must support caller ID or Calling Line Identity Presentation (CLIP) as defined by current industry-standard specifications. See Station Flags for programming information.

· Reliability and Robustness Enhancements: The reliability and robustness of the system has been enhanced by the following:

— Periodic Diagnostics: Monitors and reconciles system resources and checks for and fixes static database corruptions. This option in DB Studio is available in On-Line Monitor (OLM) mode only.

— Enhanced Exception Handling: Deletes the messages that normally cause the system to perform a major reset.

— Elimination of Scheduled Delayed Major Resets: Eliminates the need to schedule delayed major resets when programming changes are made to the database via a DB Studio session, an administrator’s endpoint or System Open Architecture Interface (OAI).

— Addition of System Software Performance Statistics: Maintains detailed software availability information to measure system reliability in accordance with industry standards

· System Diagnostics Enhancements: Several new system diagnostics enhancements provide enhanced diagnostics messages for Message Print, diagnostics dumps for Diagnostics Monitor, and support for system freezes. For more information about system diagnostics enhancements, see the v9.0 New Features document.

· Audio Diagnostics Enhancements: A new Audio Diagnostics feature code (320) added in v9.0 allows a user to generate diagnostics information for audio problems. Once the Audio Diagnostics feature is initiated, the user is prompted to answer questions about the audio problems by pressing the associated buttons on his or her endpoint. Based on the user’s selections, the system generates alarm 128 which is displayed on the administrator’s endpoint. The collected data is then sent to Inter-Tel Technical Support via Automatic Diagnostics Delivery (ADD) if the ADD feature is enabled. See Audio Diagnostics, System Flags, and Station Flags for programming information.

· DB Studio Enhancements: Version 9.0 includes several enhancements for DB Studio. These enhancements make DB Studio a more robust application and provide you with a more user-friendly interface for programming the Axxess system. DB Studio enhancements include the following:

—Private Networking Wizard
—Session Inactivity Timer

—Associated Devices and References
—Network Diagnostics Log
—Enhanced Node Deletion
—System Device Information
—Ability to Clear Call Processing Logs
—Ability to Copy Call Routing Patterns Across Call Routing Tables
—Copy and Paste Enhancements

· Network Group Enhancements: V9.0 enhancements to Network Groups include the following:

—When a Network Group is created and/or updated, the system will now broadcast the appropriate information (extension and/or peer-to-peer audio configuration) to all nodes in the network.
—Network Groups can now be exported to and imported from another node.
—The system will generate a new informational Message Print message (M1092) for changes to a Network Group’s Use Peer-to-Peer Audio flag.
