Rep Power: 0 ![]() | yeah My company is looking for a new pbx to replace an aging system. We're looking primarily at the Inter-Tel Axxess or a Nortel Meridian 1 11C. I've got about 150 stations and a 25 station call center. Both seem to be able to do what we need, and price is comparable. I'm leaning towards Inter-Tel, but can't put my finger on what sets it apart from the Nortel. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The system can be easily expanded, and can add features like VOIP, multiply locations, e-mail notification of messages and many more features. It is by far the best system out there.

Rep Power: 39 ![]() | What is your current system? Is the Inter-Tel an ATM switch? are you also looking at any of Inter-Tels CTI applications, ACD Router, Call Center Suite? Compare future costs such as maintenance and replacement equipment costs. I'm with DnRComm as far as the programming terminal because without it you will never beable to perform your own backups of the database, the Inter-Tel cannot be setup to this automaticly. Also if you are looking at having redundancy, compare apples to apples, the Inter-Tel does not have true redundancy, theirs is more of a "backup" processor, when the primary fails over to the secondary there is about 1 minute downtime and all of call processing is lost, where as in the Nortel enviroment the switchover is transparent and even calls in progress are not lost. The word "redundancy" should not even be used by the Inter-Tel sales folks.
