Hung Over

I currently over see a few AXXESS systems one in particular is three nodes and has approximately 1700 stations, this system is in a 300 Bed Acute-Care Hospital. I'm interested in speaking with anybody who is using Inter-Tel Axxess systems in the same enviroment to find out how they deal with the Switch resets.

Monitoring

Normally we schedule a reset during a slow time (ie 3am) But I can see where you could have a problem with that. You can turn off the auto reset, but I would suggest that at least once a week you do a forced reset on the system.

thanks for the input, we tried not letting it reset and even after one day ghosts start to appear, one is ACD groups don't function right. So Inter-tels answer was to force the resets. The resets wouldn't be so bad if we had true redundancy. I have almost 20 yrs in the industry mainly Avaya and Nortel so this reset stuff is new to me. I've posted this question elsewhere and have not had one reply from anybody using this equipment in such a critical enviroment or at least anybody who will admit to it. Do you work for a vendor? or Inter-tel ?

resets

I worked as a Sub for Inter-Tel for about 6 years before deciding that there way of business was not to my liking. Now I sale used and Re furbished Inter-Tel Axxents and Axxess. I understand your problems, but am not sure how to correct them. I did not know about the ACD, tho I think with version 8.0 that those problems were fixed and ghosts will not show up if a reset is not preformed each night. You might check with your Inter-Tel rep and see if that was one of the fixes on 8.0 or not.
Good luck to you
